Insomniacs Music Theatre #1

I'm going to start up a "segment" or whatever the non-radio equivalent is. Basically, taking whatever song iTunes decides is worthy of being listened to by yours truly, and writing about something totally unrelated. Well, ok, it will be related, but only loosely.
Foo Fighters - Monkey Wrench
"All this time to make amends"
So often we (or me), find ourselves either making a mistake, or having someone else make that mistake towards us. Many people let minor things go. Stolen pencil. Broken toy. Not paying the 10 dollars you owe. Other things are harder to forgive, but are not a big deal in the long run. Someone getting your car in a wreck. Stealing something from you, or even just lying about something stupid like how they stole your car and wrecked it. Then there are some inexcusable things, which may never be forgiven
John Stockton - Game 6 of the 1997 WCF
Karl Malone - Existence
Brad Lidge - Game 5 of the 2005 NLCS, Entire 2008 season.
Tracy McGrady - being a whiny pansy who doesn't give a rats ass about the team.
McGrady kept leading us on and making us believe there was somehing to this team we were building the past few years. He tricked us all into getting excited about everything going on, how great everything had progressed to that point. He suckered us into buying tickets to the games, rooting for him, while he slowly started not to care. He knew he could get away with it. That's how these things work. The diva NBA player always gets what "she" wants.
By this point, he decided he didn't want any more. He was through with us. He'd had his fun, and was ready to get comfortable and see what he could get away with. Rehab? Nah, I'm good. Give 100%? Yeah right. I just want to collect what I think I'm entitled to, me, NBA diva. At this point, we decide we're done with this tired old song and dance. Been here too many times before. Francis. Pippen. Cato. Tmac doesn't care. He's getting what he wants.
Until he realizes one day, maybe he should start caring. If not, he won't be able to land that contract next year. He feigns interest in the team. Pretends to care. Just so he can try to get some attention from Coach Adelman. You know what Tracy? Rick is done with you. You had your chance. No sob story or you pretending to care now is gonna get you back on the court. You closed that bridge months ago. It's over. Hope you find a good home elsewhere. You're not welcome here anymore. GTFO.
