Week 3 of the preseason is always the one you want your team to win. Or at least play well enough to lead after the half or the end of the 3rd quarter. Even better when you pound the snot out of the team you’re up against. After the disappointing performance the Texans put up against the Saints in the 2nd preseason game, Texans fans were ready to jump off the ledge. It was actually a nice change. Generally at this time of the preseason, Texans fans are already in “it’s only preseason” mode. Usually we put up abysmal performances in a couple of preseason games, and fans will just say “oh wait til the regular season starts” Then we get punched in the mouth by the Jets and we start the season with a loss.

Goddammit, I've tried to be rational about this but fucking Christ, Drayton what are you doing? Paying 15 million of the 30.5 million owed to Berkman/Roy, and getting absolutely nothing except one guy that MAY pan out... that took a SECOND trade to get. I'm supposed to be excited about Carlos Lee?! (Uncle D's words, not mine) If you're not gonna keep Oswalt around for me to watch every 5th day, at least get some goddamn prospects for him.

The United States soccer team is now eliminated from the FIFA World Cup after a crushing 2-1 loss in extra time to Ghana. For the hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, of Americans who started to follow the US Men's national team within the past 2 weeks, and are ready to let soccer go by for the next 4 years until Brazil 2014, I ask, give it the sport itself a chance while the sport is still fresh on your brain.
